• The Annual Board Meeting was held on Wednesday, April 13th at 6:00 PM at the clubhouse. Several important issues were discussed including a summary of the past year, priorities for the coming year, and an introduction of the new and continuing board members. Many challenges were discussed regarding the management of the HOA and the need for additional volunteers. There was overwhelming support from our community and we had ten residents step forward to volunteer their time time and effort in the coming year. These volunteers will be assisting with a variety of projects to include organizing events, delivering newsletters and information to our homeowners, and revising our Covenants, Conditions, & Restrictions (CC&R’s). A special thanks to all that volunteered. Approximately 60 residents were in attendance. Thanks to everyone that attended! You can view the meeting notes, agenda, and presentation under the Board Meetings link.
• Villa Monterey IV hosted a community meeting on Wednesday March 30th at 6:00 PM at the clubhouse. It was a “meet and greet” opportunity to speak with and hear from non-partisan Mayoral candidate Bob Littlefield as well as Councilwoman Kathy Littlefield and Councilman Guy Phillips. Approximately 100 local Villa Monterey residents were in attendance. Candidates discussed the challenges that our local neighborhoods face regarding over-development of the Old Town and Entertainment District areas and the impact this over-development will have on the Villa Monterey communities. All three of these public servants have been very supportive of Villa Monterey over the years including the Historic District designation as well as the issues with Chaparral Road. Bob Littlefield is running for Mayor of Scottsdale. If you are not familiar with Bob or his longtime support of our Villa Monterey communities please check out his website at www.boblittlefield.com to learn more.
